Since its launch back in 2020, the Xbox Series S has come under fire for its technical limitations, which continue to be a problem for many developers. However, the console appears to be indestructible, capable of sustaining major damage, and still functioning.
As shown in a new video shared by Xbox News on Twitter, the console from Microsoft is able to survive even a devastating fire, as it is shown to work despite the extensive damage it has received. The Xbox Series S may be technically limited, but it's actually solid.
User @demizenc's friend's house burned down, including the Xbox Series S. Shockingly, it still turns on and works.
Just last week we showed a Series S that was completely soaked by a flood and still worked.

As mentioned above, the Xbox Series S still makes life difficult for developers, forcing them to put in extra work to get their titles to work properly on it. Baldur's Gate 3, the third entry in the series developed by Larian Studios, for example, will be released next month on PlayStation 5, but not on Microsoft's consoles due to the development studio still trying to get split-screen co-op on the Xbox Series S. I according to Remedy Entertainment Communications Director Thomas Puha, development for the console must take into account the limitations from the very beginning, which most developers will not do at the beginning of the development process for obvious reasons.
With the console selling well, it's unlikely that Microsoft will remove feature parity and leave the Xbox Series S any time soon. As such, it will be interesting to see how developers will continue to find ways to make their games work on the console as they become more complex and demanding.
