How to make and use potions

To get you started with potion brewing It is important that you have the appropriate recipe for each of the six potions that can be made in the game. These recipes can be obtained by purchasing the necessary ingredients in J Pippin's Potions , a shop located in Hogsmeade , opposite the West Hogsmeade Floo Flame . You must also attend your first potions class. In case you haven't gained access to the Room of Requirement yet, you'll need to use the Potions Station found in Professor Sharp's classroom.

Once you've gained access to the Requirement Room , one of the first tools you'll be able to use is the Small Potions Station , which allows you to brew one potion at a time. However, you will soon discover that this method is not the most efficient way to make many potions at once. The solution to this drawback is to purchase one of the two spells from Thomas Brown at the tome and scroll shop in Hogsmeade:

• Medium Potions Station Sorcery ( 1500 G )
• T Shaped Potions Station Wizardry ( 2000 G )

The La Medium Potions Station will allow you to brew two potions at once, while the T Shaped Potions Station will allow you to brew three at once.
