How to get the Barbarian armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom . The Barbarian armor set is considered one of the most powerful sets in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Like the climbing armor, which returns from Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the three pieces (chest, pants and helmet) are scattered in various caves around Hyrule . Although the search may require considerable effort, it is worth it. as each tile increases Link's attack power .
It is important to note that it is possible to find treasure maps related to this armor set during your travels, or receive clues to the location of a non-playable character. However, obtaining this information in-game is not necessary to physically open the chests containing the Barbarian armor. If you want to avoid the hard work (or just confirm if your suspicions are correct), this guide will help you. Here's how to get barbarian armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom .
How to get the Barbarian Armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Barbarian armor location in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Inside the Crenel Hills Cave , located at the coordinates (0484, 0729, 0041), northwest of the Mirador and southwest of "Crenel Hills" on the map, you will discover the chest containing the part of the Barbarian's armor . In the surroundings there are glowing stone minerals on both sides, so just follow the light blue minerals into the cave .
Inside you will find an abundance of minerals to crush. But if your focus is solely on the prize, here's the gist. The cave has a circular shape with pillars around it. If you head towards the center, a Stone Talus will appear from the water, which can be a bit of a challenge depending on your current team.
If you want to avoid this sequence entirely, you have the option. Once you've descended to ground level, stay close to the left wall and walk around the cave. You have no stealth limitations, so take advantage of the opportunity to destroy minerals and collect items in the process .
Afterwards, once you've crossed to the other side of the cave (in the opposite direction from where you first entered), you'll notice an open path leading up.
Go up that path and when you reach the end you'll discover the chest containing the chest part of the Barbarian's armor . It has a base defense of 3 and provides a +1 increase to attack power.
Barbarian pants location in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
You can find the Barbarian Pants in the cave of Walnut Mountain , located at coordinates (3931, -2068, 0129). This cave is located east of Hateno Village, past the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. If you zoom in on the map, you will see that the entrance is next to a small lake south of Retsamskogen.
This cave is quite challenging . You will come across difficult and annoying enemies. A combination of Bokoblins, including a giant similar to the one you encountered when you conquered the Skyview Tower in Hyrule Field, ice cream and the dreaded ice Like Likes await you inside.
You are of course free to approach the cave in your own way. If you already have a decent team going in, you'll be able to survive the encounters. Otherwise , I would recommend going for a run to get your pants on and get out quickly .
You can get through the first part of the cave without any problems, and hit the Keese with any melee weapon, as they are quite fragile. You then see an opening that leads to the upper level of the cave, where the bokoblins often make their rounds, and head there.
You will observe how the path leads you naturally to the other end of the cave , where there is protection (and signaling!) by an ice Like Like hanging from the ceiling. Avoid their attacks and jump through the gap, which will immediately lead you to the room where the chest is located. .
A final step. The chest is imprisoned in ice . I used some fire fruits that I had on hand, which gradually melt it with each hit. If you have a burning torch, you can move it closer until it also burns down .
Once you can open the chest, the Barbarians pants will be yours. This armor offers a defense of 3 and adds +1 attack power .
Barbarian helmet location in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Go to Robred Dropoff's lair at coordinates (2487, -1467, 0013), which is southeast of Karariko Village. If you zoom in on the map, you will find the entrance slightly northwest of the name "Robred Dropoff" and south of the Phalian Highlands.
Fortunately, it's pretty obvious, as there are several stone statues that will guide you towards it . It can be a little disturbing, yes, but it's also helpful.
The stone sculptures, as mentioned in a message when you enter, will show you the way to the treasure. Now, the cave may seem complicated, but it's actually quite simple if you know where to look ahead of time. As a general rule, if you look at stone sculptures facing a certain direction, they are subtly pointing you in the right direction .
That said, there are no catches in case you stray. At worst, you may have to back off a bit. Just make sure you have explosive items, such as flower bombs, or any weapon equipped with a stone, as you will have to manually blast your way through the stone walls.
Speaking of which, the starting room is spacious and it has different groups of stone sculptures, as well as three possible paths . If you look closely, all the stone sculptures are oriented towards the center of the circle that surrounds them, except for a group of three that look directly at a rock face; That's where you should go .
If you're curious, the other trails will just take you in circles. You can pick up some useful materials if you wish, but if your only goal is to get the armor, I recommend going straight down the previously mentioned path.
The path will lead you to a room full of Bokoblins, which are… Entertaining. The chest is on the other side of the room: there are two stone statues in front of it , but there is a closed door in the middle that prevents the passage. To access it, you need to destroy the rocks (same color as the rock walls you've chipped away so far) located in the middle of the room.
If you have bomb flowers, throw them or shoot an arrow impregnated with fire at the rocks. That should create an opening. If you don't have them, but you have a weapon with a gem, you can jump and attack so that Link hits the ground, achieving the same result. In case you're worried about goblins, ice is quite effective against them, as long as you have white Chuchu Jelly or something similar in your inventory.
Now before you unfolds a path going down, which leads to three sets of stone statues . From left to right, the first presents five statues, the second and the third three statues.
The key is to position yourself in front of the group of three stone statues , right at the point where there is some sort of raised platform, and then use the ascend ability. In this way, you are transported directly to the room containing the chest. .
Three similar statues await you upstairs, which is a bit disturbing, but this is the final step. Forward, take the barbarian helmet. It has an initial defense of 3 and provides a +1 increase in attack power. . You can then use the Ascend ability again to return to the previous path inside the cave, or just quickly travel away if you don't want to finish the cave right now.
Whenever you wear the full barbarian armor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will enjoy an increased attack power of +3 , which is a great benefit. If for some reason you need to mix and match pieces, it will still be beneficial to have at least one of them equipped.
