At Hogwarts Heritage you can have the opportunity to adopt a pet . After completing certain quests, you will learn how to rescue and care for wild animals in your Vivarium , a space provided by the Room of Requirement.

Although most creatures cannot accompany you on your adventure, you will be able to play with them in your Vivarium . Here you will find information on how you can rescue and care for creatures in Hogwarts' heritage .

Are there pets at Hogwarts Legacy?

In Hogwarts Legacy, you are not assigned a pet in the usual sense, but you can unlock the ability to capture and breed creatures such as puffskeins, kneazles, thestrals and unicorns . These creatures will be cared for in the Vivarium in the Room of Requirement, and you can even breed them to make adorable babies.

How do I catch beasts in Hogwarts Legacy?

The opportunity to care for creatures in Hogwarts' heritage comes after attending the class Beasts Where You will meet Poppy Sweeting a Hufflepuff student. She will introduce you to Puffskein, Gerald , and will give you access to tools like the Creature Brush as well as Beast Food in your magical inventory.

You cannot take care of wild creatures, but you can capture them safely after completing the side quest "The Elf, The Nab-Sack and The Loom" from house elf Deek. This quest will only be available after completing the main quest.

How do I assemble a Hippogriff in Hogwarts Legacy?

After playing Hogwarts Legacy, you will be able to ride a hippogriff called Highwing . This is achieved after completing Poppy and Natsai's mission , where Highwing comes to rescue you and Natty.

Once you complete the mission, the Highwing will unlock as a flying mount that you can summon at any time . In addition, the Room of Requirement will include a new room for your larger creatures, and you will be able to visit them at any time to feed and brush them.

This provides an alternative to Hogwarts heirloom food, as the Highwing is much more cuddly.
