Back in 2021, well-known hacker Lance McDonald released an unofficial Bloodborne 60 FPS update that further improved the action RPG developed by FromSoftware. Now even those with a (hacked) PlayStation 5 can enjoy the game in its 60 FPS glory without having to sacrifice visual quality.
Earlier today, Lance McDonald himself reported that his patch has been ported to run on hacked PlayStation 5 consoles, sharing a video showing the game running on a retail console at a smooth 60fps, 1080p resolution.
Despite being one of the most acclaimed games ever made by FromSoftware, Bloodborne has yet to be ported to any other gaming system. For a while we've heard rumors that a remaster or remake is in development, but no announcement has been made so far. As such, the only way to experience the hauntingly beautiful journey of the hunter through the town of Yarnham is by playing the game on PlayStation 4, although the RPCSX emulator has recently taken the first step to make emulating the game on PC a reality.
Bloodborne is now available on PlayStation 4 worldwide. We'll let you know about the rumored remaster as soon as more people get in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
