Android 14 is going to bring a bunch of new changes including battery widget, phone manufacturing date, new clock styles and more

Android 14 and the Pixel 8 series are just a couple of months away. The OS and the new phones will be official in October, but that doesn't mean we won't get some exciting details about the upcoming update. As you know, the beta is already underway, and it has reached a point where it can be considered stable. With that in mind, we have a new leak that suggests some new changes in the upcoming update.

Android 14 will bring a number of changes, but your OEM can change what comes and what doesn't

If you've been keeping up with Android 14 coverage, you'd know that the new update doesn't bring a complete visual overhaul. However, it takes what Android 13 does and makes it much better. Now we have more information about what the upcoming update will bring.

First, Android 14 is going to bring several changes, including a new floating pop-up that shows your battery when it reaches 10%. There is also a battery widget. You can check the phone's year of manufacture in the About section. The IMEI number will now be hidden and you need to tap on it to reveal it. Furthermore, the user section will display profile pictures.

Moving on, Android 14 will also provide haptic feedback when customizing the lock screen, you can customize shortcuts on the lock screen, and of course, it wouldn't be a new Android version without some clock styles. Screen capture toggles also get a facelift. The source also confirms that you'll get new motion navigation guides, along with better performance and thermal management.

Although this light may seem far-fetched to some people, the good news is that Android 14 is going to bring a number of other changes that we will get to know as we get closer to the final release. Another thing to note here is that the changes reported in this post are strictly for the stock Android version that will be available on Pixel phones. This means that One UI 6.0, Oxygen OS, Hydrogen OS, Nothing OS, and all the other third-party skins could bring something completely different to the table, and we'll be sure to let you know when they do.
